Peace­time is the long time scale used when you spend time trav­el­ing, going about busi­ness in a city, sleep­ing, etc.

Peace­time rounds are an hour long. Since it’s low-risk, and activ­i­ties may span many hours, the book­keep­er will keep track of events in spans of mul­ti­ple hours. Track­ing this time is still impor­tant. It ensures that every­one gets to act, and that the pro­ces­sion of days goes by at a nor­ma­tive pace.

Activities

Every peace­time round, you can under­take an activ­i­ty requir­ing an hour or more time.

Activ­i­ties tak­ing an hour or more may include:

  • Walk­ing or rid­ing
  • Cook­ing a meal
  • Cut­ting wood or trees
  • Dig­ging graves
  • Stok­ing a fire to full blaze
  • Sleep­ing
  • Teach anoth­er char­ac­ter
  • Study­ing skills

Activ­i­ties, espe­cial­ly sleep­ing, may extend through mul­ti­ple rounds. So long as they you’re not sleep­ing or focus­ing, you may under­take minor tasks dur­ing broad­er actions, such as eat­ing and drink­ing.
