Gray salt
grisodate is essential in preventing pathogenesis. If you’re human, you need two tonics (small or large) or meals containing grisodate per week, or else you’re at risk of pathogenesis.
ADRENALINE
A miniscule glass autoinjector. It plunges a dose of yellow adrenaline isolated from fleeces into the bloodstream, reversing unconsciousness, removing 1 Weary stress, and causing the recipient to ignore malus for 2 turns. 1-in-4 chance they they must make a terror roll if they have distress.BANDAGE

Flower-patterned paper roll-ups containing the cured leaves of belladonna, stramonium, and lobelia. When smoked, they cause 1 Smog Stress, 1 Poison stress, and +1 comfort while that stress remains. Adds -1 to sleep. Smoking more than 3 may cause hallucination. A tube of what appear to be large, silver-headed matches. They are sticks dipped in caustic silver nitrate, branded “Causticks” by Buschmacher Medicinals. Activated by the application of water (or spit.) Used to sterilize and stanch wounds. Each stick grants +2 to stop severe bleeding. May also remove warts.CAUTER PATCH
A thick paper-backed cloth patch. 8 inches square, packaged in a foil envelope. Peeling away the wax paper reveals a black, sticky interior meant for firm application on bleeding wounds. The patch chemically cauterizes wounds. It disinfects the area and grants an edge to resist severe bleeding. It also causes 1 Pain stress. Leaves a sooty burn and broad ashen scar where applied.CHLOROFORM
A small brown bottle of anesthetic, about two teaspoon’s worth. When applied to a cloth as an inhalant, it elicits unconsciousness within a brief time. Causes a level 1 burn wound to the throat if the patient doesn’t succeed an Immunity roll.CLOT FACTOR
A short syringe with a loop flange. Contains a cloudy solution of blood clotting factor sourced from hog blood. Using an action, the syringe’s contents may be administered to a creature, bestowing them with a +2 bonus against bleeding for an hour.EPHEDRINE
A brown vial of ephedra and caffeine. Produces warmness, energy, and a tension in the scalp. For 2 hours, ignore 2 malus and delay hungry stress gain. Afterwards, gain 1 Weary stress.HEALING SALVE
A greasy salve of calendula and orange extract. When applied to a Wound stress with 0 stitches, it applies 1 stitch.HARTSHORN CAPSULE
A glass ampoule wrapped in cotton and enclosed in a wire cage. When snapped, using an action, it releases powerful ammonia vapors that abruptly wake unconscious patients.LAUDANUM
A bitter tincture. 11% coquelicot. The rest is syrup. A spoonful lets you ignore 1 malus, grants +1 to sleep, and inflicts -4 to Perception rolls for 2 hours. Doses per day exceeding your Immunity cause 1 Poison stress and 1 Drowsy each.PARASKIN
A soft organic swatch made from hog platelets in a foil envelope. Fuses with broken skin. When attached to a Burn or Wound stress, it applies 1 stitch immediately. Can also act as surgical tape.PEPPERELLE CIGARETTES
Stimulating, warming roll-ups of cured, aromatic pepperelle. Emit pestering, dusty doxbells. When smoked, they inflict 1 Smog Stress and cause +1 comfort while that stress remains.PHENOL
An antiseptic solution of 2% carbolic acid. Used to soak bandages, preventing infection, albeit at the cost of mild skin irritation. Must be used in conjunction with a bandage. Distinct tarry odor.SULFA OINTMENT
A greasy, straw-colored paste containing sulfonamide, a potent antibiotic. When smeared into a wound, it will effectively prevent most infection. If infection is already present, it gives +2 to Immunity rolls made to resist it.SURGICAL TAPE
Broad strips of cloth tape with a paper backing. The backing hides a sticky side that adheres even to wet or bloody skin. When applied as part of a Stanch action, the tape acts as a pair of hands compressing the wound. Handy for use with bandages.SURGICAL KIT, FIELD
A standard array of scissors, shears, bistouries, scalpels, hemostats, forceps, and a tracheal cannula in a hard leatherette case. Not suitable for amputations, trepanning, or most abdominal surgery.SURGICAL SPIRITS
Denatured alcohol and iodine. A quality antiseptic wound rinse. Unlike carbolic acid, it is instantly effective, and doesn’t require extended contact or bandage saturation to clean wounds. Stains skin an unnatural, bruisy jaundiced hue.Tonic soda
A bolstering, sugary, slightly boozy herbal decoction laden with grisodate. Bottled in many flavors like horehound, juniper, and aniseed. Broadly consumed as a prophylactic. Hydrating, for meals. Drinking 2 constitutes a dose of alcoholTonic ampoule

Prosthetists are relatively common craftsmen. You can find them in most cities. At the worst, you can find a woodworker willing to make you a wooden pegleg. Prosthetics prices include the craftsman’s fee for fitting and customization.
